Anne Bowling ~ Director

Anne grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and began her dance training at Harlingen Ballet Center studying all forms of dance with an emphasis on ballet. She then attended the University of North Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Dance. During her time in Denton, Anne was also a principal dancer and soloist for Denton Civic Ballet Company. Following graduation, Anne taught dance in California and founded the Huntington Beach Ballet Company in Huntington Beach, California. Recently, the company celebrated their 25th Nutcracker season. She then served as Studio Director of Melba’s School of Dance in McAllen, Texas and was the Artistic Director and Choreographer for McAllen Dance Theatre for twelve years. Anne came to Hebron High School in 2007 to serve as the Assistant Director and teach dance classes and now has become Director of the beautiful and talented Silver Wings. This is her 13th year here at Hebron. Anne currently serves on the Board of Directors for Texas Association Teachers of Dancing where she has been a member for the last 20 years. Anne and her husband, Bill, have two children, Blake and Holly.

Sammi Hobbs ~ Asst. Director

Sammi Hobbs was born and raised in Killeen, Texas, where she grew up in a competitive dance studio learning various dance styles from tap to hip hop. In 2009, she moved to the Dallas area to obtain her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the University of North Texas. During her senior year, her modern choreography made the prestigious top ten at the Gala for ACDFA. After graduation, she became a professional dancer and Captain for the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue dancers – the only hip-hop team in the NFL – and danced four years for the team. She choreographs for high school and college dance teams all throughout Texas and specializes in contemporary and hip hop. This is her 4th year as the Silver Wings Assistant Director, and she teaches Pre-Drill and Dance 2-4 at Hebron High School. In her free time, Sammi enjoys spending time with her husband, D’mitri, traveling, and cooking healthy meals. She hopes to inspire dancers to go after their dreams.
